1. Working in the Private Security Industry: Covers relevant laws, health & safety, fire safety, emergency procedures, and the role of security.
2. Working as a Door Supervisor: Focuses on behavioural standards, civil/criminal law, searching, powers of arrest, drug awareness, incident recording, and licensing laws.
3. Conflict Management: Teaches assessing risk, de-escalation, and problem-solving to manage conflict situations.
4. Physical Intervention Skills: Covers risks, protective techniques, and safe non-pain compliant holding/escorting methods.
Key Requirements & Skills

Mandatory First Aid: Must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate or higher.

Duration: Typically, 45 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) over a minimum of 4-6 days, with some training providers combining modules.

Assessment: Four multiple-choice exams (one per unit) and practical demonstrations for physical intervention.

Licence: Upon completion and passing, you can apply to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for your Door Supervisor Licence
