This is the qualification you need to apply for an SIA Security Officer licence, which covers manned guarding roles.
Take it as 5 days including Emergency First Aid at Work, or 4 days without it if you already hold a valid first aid certificate.

Three multiple-choice exams plus practical assessments covering radio use, report writing, searching and conflict management.

Security Officer FAQ
What’s the difference between Security Officer and Door Supervisor?
A Security Officer licence covers guarding roles. A Door Supervisor licence covers pubs, clubs and venues and also lets you work as a security officer, which is why many people choose it instead.
Do I need the Emergency First Aid option?
You need a valid first aid certificate for your licence. If you already have one, take the 4-day course without EFAW.
