5. Searching Techniques (Refresher): Updated procedures for searching individuals.

6. Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor (Refresher): Reviewing effective procedures and professional conduct.

Key Requirements 
  • Duration: Typically, a 2-day in-person course after completing e-learning.

  • Prerequisites: You must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work certificate and have completed the ACT Awareness and ACT Security e-learning modules (Action Counters Terrorism) before attending.

  • Assessment: Includes multiple-choice exams and practical assessments for physical intervention and searching.

  • Purpose: Mandatory for renewing your SIA Door Supervisor license as of April 1, 2025, ensuring compliance with new standards.

Exam Information

Principles of Door Supervision (Refresher)

  • 35 multiple-choice questions

  • Time Allowed: 55 mins

  • pass mark: 71% (25/35).

Physical Intervention (Refresher)

  • 30 Multiple-choice questions

  • Pass Mark: 80% (24/40)

  • Time Allowed: 45 minutes

Practical Assessment: Demonstrating physical intervention skills and searching techniques.
