  • Understanding CCTV systems and equipment.

 

3. Practical Use of CCTV Systems
  • Operating CCTV equipment (cameras, monitors, recording).

  • Proactive & reactive surveillance techniques.

  • Identifying suspicious activity & body language.

  • Managing incidents (crime, anti-social behaviour).

  • Producing images for evidence & maintaining audit trails.

Learning & Assessment
  1. Duration: Typically, 3 days.

  2. Practical: Simulated control room exercises, equipment practice, role-playing.

  3. Exams: Multiple-choice tests on Units 1 & 2, plus a practical assessment and workbook for Unit 3.

  4. Pass Mark: Usually, 70% for written exams and 100% for the practical assessment.
