The Level 3 AET is the starting point for anyone who wants to teach or train adults, including security and first aid trainers.
You learn how to plan, deliver and evaluate inclusive sessions and how to assess learners, then deliver a short teaching session of your own (a micro-teach).

What you’ll learn

Roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
The educator’s role, legal frameworks such as the Equality Act 2010, health and safety, and positive learner relationships.

Inclusive teaching and learning approaches
Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive sessions, managing participation, and a short teaching practice (micro-teach).

Assessment in education and training
Principles and methods of assessment, record keeping and constructive feedback.
How you’re assessed
Written assignments plus a short practical teaching session (micro-teach).
Free retake guarantee. If you don’t pass an exam or practical assessment, you can retake it once, free, within 3 months.
