  • SIA Compliance: Mandatory for license renewal, covering current SIA licensing rules.

  • Practical Assessments: Includes written exams (multiple choice) and practical skills tests for physical intervention and searching.

  • The exam is conducted on the allocated days as per the training provider.

  • The assessment includes 4 multiple choice questions and 2 practical assessments:

  • MCQ 1) Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry (10 questions, 20 minutes)

  • MCQ 2) Principles of Working as a Door Supervisor for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry (29 questions, 45 minutes)

  • MCQ 3) Application of Physical Intervention Skills for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry (30 questions, 45 minutes) (and 1x Practical Assessment)

  • MCQ 4) Application of physical intervention skills in the private security industry (30 questions, 45 minutes) (and 1x Practical Assessment)

  • Physical Intervention Skills: A practical demonstration of skills.

  • Searching Techniques: A practical assessment of safe and effective search procedures

  • The Role of a First-Aider: Understanding responsibilities, preventing cross-infection, and recording incidents.

  • Assessment and Basic Life Support: Safely assessing an emergency situation, performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

  • Injury Management: Administering first aid for common injuries, including:

  • Wounds and bleeding control.

  • Burns and scalds.

  • Fractures, sprains, and joint injuries.

  • Eye injuries.

  • Medical Emergencies: Recognizing and providing first aid for major illnesses such as:

  • Shock.

  • Choking and breathing emergencies.

  • Heart attacks and strokes.

  • Epilepsy, asthma, and diabetes.

  • Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions) and poisoning.
